Unesco International Seminar

As a follow up to the firat meeting held among the cluster countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines and Timor Leste from 8-10 December 2010 under the care of teh Jakarta Unesco office, the second country report meeting on Education for Sustainable Development was held between 20-21 june 2011.

The meeting allowed the members of the cluster countries to present their respective country guidelines for reorienting the teacher education climate to address sustainability with emphases on Climate Change Education (CCE) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

The two day meeting also allowed member countries to share approaches and strategies that can be employed to address the issue of sustaining a greener planet for the current and also the future generation.

IPGM was represented by the Rector, Datuk Dr Haili bin Dolhan, and Senior Assistant Director, Dr Nagaligam Karuppiah.
